For the Burger Patties:
- 1 lb 450g Wagyu ground beef
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
For Assembly:
- 4 brioche buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 cup lettuce leaves

- ½ red onion thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Pickles to taste
Optional Toppings:

- Fried egg
Prepare the Patties:
In a bowl, gently mix the Wagyu beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Avoid overmixing.
Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into 1-inch thick patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
Cook the Patties:
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or 5-6 minutes per side for medium-well.
In the last minute, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and cover to melt.
Assemble the Burgers:
Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the bottom bun.
Layer with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and the cooked patty.
Add optional toppings like caramelized onions or truffle aioli.
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
