Ingredients

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 1 package 8 oz cream cheese, softened – Use full-fat for the creamiest texture.
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar – Adds just the right amount of sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract – Enhances the flavor with a warm aromatic touch.
  • 1 large egg – Helps bind the filling for a smooth velvety consistency.

For the Crescent Roll Base:

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough – The star of the show, providing a flaky, buttery crust.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted – Brushed on top for a golden, crispy finish.

Optional Toppings:

  • Fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries – Adds a burst of freshness and color.
  • Powdered sugar – For a light sweet dusting.
  • Chocolate drizzle or caramel sauce – Perfect for a decadent twist.

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Oven and Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking pan to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling

  • Grab a mixing bowl and use a hand mixer or whisk to blend the softened cream cheese until it’s perfectly smooth and free of lumps.
  • Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  • Crack in the egg and blend until the filling is silky and lump-free. Set aside.

Step 3: Assemble the Crescent Roll Base

  • Open the can of crescent dough and gently unroll it onto a clean surface. Carefully separate the dough along the perforated lines to create triangles.
  • Arrange the triangles in the greased pie dish, pressing them together to form a crust. Make sure to cover the bottom and sides, sealing any gaps.

Step 4: Add the Filling and Top Layer

  • Pour the cheesecake filling into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.
  • If you’d like a top layer, use the remaining crescent dough to create a lattice or simply place triangles over the filling.

Step 5: Bake to Perfection

  • Brush the top of the crescent dough with melted butter for a golden, flaky finish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.

Step 6: Cool and Serve

  • Let the cheesecake cool for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing. This helps the filling set completely.
  • Add your favorite toppings, like fresh berries, a dusting of powdered sugar, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
