- 1-2 tablespoons Spirulina or Chlorella powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup melted coconut oil
- ½ cup maple syrup or honey
- 2 large eggs or 2 flax eggs for vegan
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 1/4 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients: Combine almond flour, cocoa powder, Spirulina/Chlorella powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk melted coconut oil, maple syrup, eggs (or flax eggs), and vanilla extract.
Combine: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold until just combined. Add optional mix-ins if desired.
Bake: Pour batter into the pan, smooth the top, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
