  • 1-2 tablespoons Spirulina or Chlorella powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup melted coconut oil
  • ½ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 2 large eggs or 2 flax eggs for vegan
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix dry ingredients: Combine almond flour, cocoa powder, Spirulina/Chlorella powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk melted coconut oil, maple syrup, eggs (or flax eggs), and vanilla extract.
  • Combine: Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold until just combined. Add optional mix-ins if desired.
  • Bake: Pour batter into the pan, smooth the top, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Cool: Let brownies cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
